Beautiful Serene Coastline
What a wonderful few days we have had staying here at Tuna Wharf Townhouse. The locals overlooking the harbour is gorgeous. Watching the sunrise set each day has been a joy as have the walks out along the beautiful serene coastline. As for the house, it is extremely comfortable; the rooms are warm and cozy with all the amenities you need. Thank you very much for the coffee, wine, and beverages which we enjoyed a great deal.

What started as an impromptu weekend getaway turned into so much more! Tuna Wharf Townhouse exceeded our expectations and Jonathan is so friendly + kind. We bought some local artwork and took the train into Salem. The weather was unseasonably warm. So peaceful. We have travelled many times to Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard and now we are fans of Cape Ann! We will definitely be back! Thank you so much for your hospitality!!

Where to begin? Staying at TunaWharf Townhouse is more than just a getaway. It is an experience! The combined charm of the town, the accomodation and our hosts created the true perfection! The town is beyond quaint with so much to see and do within walking distance. The townhouse is a lovely home away from home with a view that just never gets old! But the true magic is created by our hosts. Jonathan is an experience all in himself. He is so welcoming in every way. He is a wealth of knowledge and full of suggestions to help his guests maximize their time here. We did a lot in 4 days! Jonathan's wife, Sally is ofcourse amazing! Together they create the warmth of the TWT experience. This was our very first visit but it will not be our last! Thank you Jonathan and Sally for such a lovely and memorable stay!

Wow! Amazing! TWT has a wow factor. We love all the micities added recently as well as the view, cozy beds, etc. Host Jonathan made it amazing with his kindness and generosity. Back here 2nd year at Tuna Wharf to celebrate Tricia's birthday. Day one: Gloucester house for our St. Paddy's day festivities. Enjoyed hanging on the deck and soaking in the view. Dinner reservations at the Fleur De Cuisine (delicious). Day two: hiked Coolidge Reservation Magnolia Beach (Manchester by-the-sea). Lobster rolls from 'Jeff's' lunch on the deck. Beautiful day! 50 degrees in March. Also, had dinner at the fish shack. We picked up pints of delicious ice cream from Holy Cow in Gloucester for evening dessert. Day three: Breakfast at Mom's Yummy (Gloucester). Hiked at Ravenswood Park, shopped at Bearskin neck and found a lovely little park named Millbrook Meadow over near Front Beach Seaglass (Rockport). Day Four: Beautiful sunrise. Thanks to Jonathan for letting us have a lazy morning before heading out for our days adventure back home. T.U next time. Thanks Jonathan

We loved your recommendations like Feather & Wedge, Tonnos, and Brothers Brew Coffee shop (love their donuts). Also your place is so perfect, I feel like I am in a five-star hotel except I have an even better view since every single window has an amazing view. Jonathan, upon the first walk through your exquisite townhouse, my mom, sister and I were simply left awestruck. From the scent of freshly plucked flowers (which Kathy was sure to comment on numerous times), the homely decor, and the breathtaking artwork on display, we couldn't have asked for a more pleasant stay. Waking each morning, bathed in the orange glow of the rising sun was indeed the most serene I have personally felt in quite a long time. This holiday weekend served as an emotional and mental reset for all three of us thanks to your effortless geniality and overall loveliness. Awesome stay and time at TWT, close to Boston for locals + Logan (for non-locals) but felt like a million miles away. Did many of the same things we did the first time, same of which was even better the second time - Two Little Birds Cafe - tiny but BEST tasting breakfasts Bearskin Bistro for chowder + Lobster Rolls + the luxury of a gourmet hotdog place right around the corner. Now find Machaca - Mexican Restaurant! Gloucester - excellent Antique Table - Italian in Manchester by the Sea the equal or better of Tomes which is also very good Crane Estate - Ipswich - unique place, amazing grounds, bring lunch + each at the 'casino' down the hall to use (review last sentence).

From Jonathan's Kir Royale welcome to the full Strawberry Supermoon over Motif #1, the fruits of this vacation have been many, awaking just before (5am) sunrise, taking in its rosy glory over a steaming hot cup of French Roast outside on the coffee bar was the perfect ending.
To find a word that has not been used already to describe the wonderfulness of TWT & Jonathan's top-notch Concierge Service is difficult - but not impossible. Futute TWT guests challenge: What one word (new) describes your stay? Ours is - INDELIBLE.

From the glorious sunrises over the harbor to the twinkling stars at night, the wonder of the place was inspirational! We planned our visit around a concert at Shalin Liu to celebrate our March birthdays without ever imagining that Tuna Wharf Townhouse would be the star of the visit! The location on Bearskin Neck overlooking the harbor and the ocean beyond is one-of-a-kind, and the townhouse itself is lovely, cozy, and furnished with every imaginable amenity for comfort and relaxation. The two bedroom/two full bathroom layout was perfect for a weekend visit from our daughter who joined us from the Boston area. Jonathan is "the host with the most": attentive but never intrusive, thoughtful beyond compare, and thoroughly knowledgeable about the area with wonderful suggestions for eateries, hikes, and activities. Visiting during the off-season was just our speed; the slower, quieter pace was exactly what we needed, and we left feeling refreshed and energized.

The short story = fantastic location, incredible water views from living room/bedroom and without a doubt, the most thoughtful and communicative host we’ve ever seen from a rental owner. The long story = I booked a surprise mini getaway for my wife as a Valentine’s Day gift and was lucky to find this place, as someone had just canceled so this Friday was now available. When Jonathan reached out and learned about the reason for the trip, he immediately asked how he could make it special. And that he did. For just a one night stay, he provided little touch after little touch, and his recs on food and hikes proved to be super helpful. This place is just footsteps away from the best restaurants/shops and yards away from the water - the window views are hard to beat, even in the winter. The place itself is spacious, updated and the TV was big with full cable connect, Netflix etc. Strong recommend.

Well...we survived the great Nor'easter storm of 2022. The house, as always is so cozy + warm. Jonathan brought us everything we could need to ride out the storm in style...unfortunately we were out of the house when the power lines broke on the street so we couldn't stay here our second night. Once again Jonathan came through with an alternate place for us with heat + lights + we slept well once again. I love staying here + will be back again! Thank you!

Tuna Wharf Townhouse is a unique and very special place. It was the perfect little getaway, nestled in amongst all the shops and art galleries of Bearskin Neck. You can park in your designated spot, and then walk to just about anything you desire. There's also a nice walk over to the Headlands and then to the beach beyond, and many other beaches to explore as well within a short drive. The townhouse itself is just beautiful with sweeping views of the bay and ocean beyond. Everything you need is there. It's clean and sparkling, and what more can I say? My wife and I have traveled the world through Airbnb and we’ve stayed in a big range of places, this place was an absolute gem! But what made it all the greater was the host: wow! Jonathan is simply outstanding. It’s like he was born to connect with and generously offer hospitality to others. We were just blown away with so many things that would have otherwise been insignificant if not for Jonathan’s surprising touch and charm. Seriously, we’re so happy for anyone that will get to meet Jonathan through this stay! As for the place, it’s really something, not only do you have the vibrancy of being literally in the charming downtown of Rockport, you have on the other side, the beautiful Rockport beach. Not to mention, your own private beach and parking spot.

Jonathan’s place is sublime. The view of BOTH Rockport Harbor and the ocean beyond, are among the best I have ever encountered in Cape Ann, and I have been visiting this place for fifty years. The main room and upstairs bedroom face north/northeast so the sunrises and early morning lights are superb. One also has a view of the Headlands, a rocky outcropping just on the east side of the harbor’s mouth, as well as Straitsmith Island, and its picturesque lighthouse. Tuna Wharf itself is a charming and spectacular part of the colonial harbor scene, just off the road of the busier, though never loud, Bearskin Neck. Within short walking distance, just beyond the well-known Bearskin Neck, are some of the best walking areas in Cape Ann, especially and including the footpaths around Marmion Way, leading out to Gap Cove. The kitchen, a well-designed galley, is equipped and ready for the home cooking. Both bedrooms have super views; the beds are very comfortable and the bedding is first rate. The main sitting room is comfortable and like the bow of a boat: always the water. We were here in the depths of the winter and the house was warm, not at all drafty.
Jonathan exudes warmth and generosity. He is an informal host, yet always accessible and always at the ready to guide, help and ensure you have whatever you need to be most comfortable. We will look forward to returning!

This is truly an exceptional jewel! So glad we selected Tuna Wharf Townhouse for our 38th annual Rockport visit. This was our first stay at TWT and we knew we had made a great selection from the moment we walked through the front door. The property is immaculate, well appointed and meticulous attention has been paid to both large and small details. The views of Rockport harbor, from several rooms, is unparalleled. Our host Jonathan, who is very well versed in all things Rockport/Gloucester, was so courteous and helpful we literally wanted for nothing! My husband and I had the great fortune to stay at Sally and Jonathan’s Tuna Wharf Townhouse in December. I know, weird time to go, but it was fabulous. Comfort in a bright and cozy setting will be what you get when you book here.
Jonathan is a SUPERB host. Every little detail, every little convenience is thought out. Our stay began with a beautiful welcome note and flowers… and that was just at our parking space!! From having little slippers available for you to keep your feet warm, to seltzers available for you upon arrival, to little candies and cough drops in cute little bowls… we wanted for nothing. The view out the window made us just want to listen to music and gaze out to the water, however, there was much beauty to explore in the surrounding area. Because we were there in December, much was closed so our excursions were to the area beaches and restaurants. We were able to explore the area as locals, without the summer crowds or busyness. Just fabulous.
Jonathan is also a wealth of knowledge about the area and is so very excited to share his town with newcomers. We are really looking forward to experiencing the area in the summer from the Townhouse.

Tuna Wharf Townhouse is a beautiful place. Waking up to ocean views, walks around town or shores. Plenty of the things to do and visit.
Best part was the host himself. Jonathan met up on arrival and gave us a tour of the place. He also welcomed my young daughter with a surprise gift. As a host probably one of the best! We had few last minute trip changes and Jonathan worked with us 100%. We will definitely return again!
Tip: If you are visiting Rockport during the winter/off-season don't go by (Hidden by Airbnb) for what's open/closed. Many restaurants/shops list as open but are in fact closed for the season. Make sure to call them first before heading over.
