On facade of middle building is a sign advertising the Artists Ball. In the 1920s and 1930s, the ball was an annual event organized by Rockport's artists and was a very “spirited” event. A 1926 news report described the dancing continuing until 5 a.m., after which breakfast was served. Precedent Set! 💥

Sally and I live 5 miles away in Gloucester, yet I have been drawn to Bearskin Neck and Tuna Wharf ever since my college pal Stephen Rhodes from North Carolina opened North Shore Kayak Outdoor Center at the tip of Tuna Wharf. Then the Shalin Liu Performance Center opened, dry Rockport finally got adult beverages, and fine dining like Feather & Wedge arrived, and the appeal of Rockport went even higher. Plus, Libby went to elementary school in Rockport and her first summer jobs were on Bearskin Neck and Tuna Wharf.

Rockport has never been known for its ease of parking, so love the fact that 5A Tuna Wharf comes its own nearby deeded parking spot. It's great that you park the car and enjoy the delights of walking around all that Rockport offers. Beaches, Art Galleries, Craft Stores, Coffee Shops, Lobster Rolls, Gift Shops, and a multitude of restaurants are just a stroll away.

It's a pretty special place. As noted in Condé Nast Traveler..."with more than 360 boats resting in its four harbors, Rockport is about as coastal as it can get. Rockport’s located in on the North Shore, a “culturally important” section of Massachusetts, known for its stellar food, beaches and historic landmarks."

🌟🌟🌟 FALL 2022 UPDATE: 🌟🌟🌟
It was a fabulous first rental season with TWT. Basically booked from Memorial Day 2021 to Thanksgiving 2021....and then much of December, January, February, March, April, and May. June & July were full, and one returning guest is there all of August, September and half of October. 😳Feedback and reviews have been quite nice, and I met some wonderful people and thoroughly enjoy being "The Host!"
